Pregnancy, hectic am I right??
There are so many things going on when we’re expecting, lots of things to do and lists and some chaos if you have other children as well, so if you’re planning on doing a newborn session you may want to get “booking a photographer” on your list of to-do’s!!
So, with that being said – When is the best time to book your newborn session?
That’s really good question! Some photographers might prefer booking at different times. Maybe they don’t want to boom too far in advance, etc but for me, I believe the best time to book is at the beginning of your second trimester or earlier if you’re comfortable. This ensures you grab a spot in my calendar. I only book a certain amount of due dates per month so that I don’t overbook. So the earlier you book the better! This also helps with any last minute bookings of people who missed out for medical reasons, NICU time, etc. I never want anyone to miss out because of those reasons and I make sure that I can accommodate those people if need be.
Once you reach out and book your session you will then receive a questionnaire (and more!) which will help me to prepare for your session! My goal is to make this an easy and unique experience! There’s so much excitement and craziness that goes along with having a baby and I want to make sure this part is a smooth as possible! So let’s go! Make sure you get “book my newborn photographer” on that list so you’re not scrambling after you have your baby or worse, miss out.
