This is something I get asked a lot – The great part about having a studio space is that I get to accumulate high quality props for my itty bitty clients!
The frequently asked question “Do I need to bring props for my session?” the answer is not at all! because my goal is to make sure EVERYTHING is taken care of and all you need to do is bring yourselves! I make it my ultimate goal to provide the best experience possible which includes having all props available for my clients.
How do I choose props for my sessions?
I send out a questionnaire which includes questions about favorite and least favorite colors based on what you’re having and also a list of colors not normally thought of that you would be open to me using! All setups are planned so that they are cohesive and flow together within a gallery. I encourage clients to take note of images they like on my Instagram (@threejsphotography) and have them send them to me as inspiration. Each session is carefully curated and planned and least favorite colors are never used. I only use the highest quality handmade props and some of the best one of a kind vintage items.
Have a sentimental piece you would like to incorporate? AWESOME!! I LOVE including sentimental pieces into setups. It’s a great way to remember passed loves ones, childhood items, etc. I do this in the most subtle and loving ways possible to create a lifelong memory you will cherish.
